North Grand High School Commencement

North-Grand High School’s graduation ceremony will take place Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the ceremony begins at 7:00 PM. Graduates should arrive at the venue between 5:45 and 6pm.

Each student is allowed 6 guests.

Parking

Everyone will be able to park in the metered UIC parking lots or garages and will be responsible for paying the published parking rates. The closest parking garages to the Forum are on Halsted Street across from the UIC Student Center East as well as the Maxwell Parking Structure. Visit this link to see maps of UIC parking. Public metered street parking along Halsted St. and Roosevelt Rd. is also an option and families would pay the posted meter rates.

What can you bring into the venue?

Families can bring flowers and balloons WITHOUT helium.  UIC has a vendor that will be outside selling flowers too.

The following items are prohibited:

• Tripods (cameras welcome)
• Noisemakers or air horns
• Pyrotechnic devices
• Outside food or beverages
• Weapons of any kind including knives, spikes, sticks, or anything else deemed unsafe
• Laser pointers
• Graphic boards
• Helium Balloons
• Bottles or cans
• Mace or Pepper Spray
• Aerosol cans
• Confetti
